As of June 20, 2024 project is not awarded yet. Adaptive Reuse of Historic Town Hall. Estimated Construction Cost $8,000,000. Full renovation of the Town Hall building, including: Utilities (water/sewer), Site (drainage and parking), Structural (basement and roof), Insulation and Windows, etc. The Firm shall provide the following services for the project as described. Schematic Design The Firm shall provide the following Schematic Design services: 1. The Firm shall consider the findings of previous feasibility studies including any conceptual plans, cost estimating, and/or applicable design guiding factors. The Firm shall confirm programming information collected, and advise the Town as to whether any aspects of the Project should be modified as this schematic phase develops. 2. The Firm is expected to coordinate all issues and discussions involved with the project and advise the Town as to the budget implications resulting from decisions made about the building, at appropriate stages of the schematic design. 3. The Firm shall prepare Schematic Design Documents asfollows: Schematic Design: The Firm shall utilize the information from Feasibility phase, along with their own due dilligence and investigations to prepare schematic design documents. Documents shall consist of single line schematic drawings including floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, any MEP dwgs, and required site plans to establish guiding design ideas and respective cost estimates as set forth in this Schematic phase of work. The comprehensive schematic drawings will encompass various aspects from the existing condition plans focusing on a workable layout to achieve the required square footage while considering future expansion and growth. Architectural design elements, such as historically appropriate exterior elevations, as well as the integration of mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems upgrades will be instrumental to this phase of the design. Narratives will accompany the drawings to explain the design intent and material choices. Sustainability and energy-efficient design aspects will be explored to ensure a modern, efficient, and long-lasting building.
