As of June 17, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 20, 2024. The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: To remove and replace existing horizontal and vertical expansion joints, perform tuckpointing of all deteriorated and/or cracked mortar joints, and removal and resetting of brick that has separated from the building. Any and all costs for materials and labor shall be included in the proposed amount. The contract will be awarded on June 20, 2024, with a project completion date of November 30, 2024. Question Deadline 05/31/2024 No interpretation of the meaning of the specifications, or other pre-bid documents will be made to any Bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be emailed to Julie Marler at jmarler@chastainengineers.com or in writing addressed to Chastain & Associates LLC, 5 North Country Club Road, Decatur, Illinois 62521 and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Each bid must be accompanied with a proposal guaranty either as a properly certified check made payable to "DeWitt County Board", Clinton, Illinois, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid; or a cashier's check made payable to "DeWitt County Board", Clinton, Illinois, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid; or a bid bond on a form approved by DeWitt County, executed by a surety company satisfactory to the DeWitt County Board, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid. The DeWitt County Board reserves the right to accept, negotiate, or reject any or all proposals and to waive any variance from the requirements of the instructions for bidders. At the discretion of the Board, required items may be submitted after the bid opening if there is sufficient compliance with instructions at the time of the bid opening to permit the Board to determine the price bid.
