Site work for a development in Van Wert, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a development.
The bid is for logjam and sandbar removal of approximately 5.85 miles of West Jennings Creek with various size logjams and sandbars located in Van Wert County, Ohio, as per specification documents. Every request for an interpretation shall be made in writing and addressed to the Van Wert County Engineer, 1192 Grill Road, Van Wert, Ohio 45891 or by email to the Engineering Department, kthatcher@vanwertcountyohio.gov . The contract will be awarded on a unit price for various sizes of logjams, sandbars, and trees removed and disposed of by the contrac-tor. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid [ORC 153.54 (A2)] or a combina-tion bid/performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid [ORC 153.54 (A1)]. When a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit is used as a bid bond it will be conditioned that upon contract award the contractor will furnish a performance bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the con-tract [ORC 153.54 (C)]. Award shall be made to the lowest and best bidder. The Van Wert County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any/or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
