Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Franklin, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the addition of a 15,632-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a 1,300-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Bids are solicited for a single story addition to an existing building of approximately 13,970 square feet gross floor area, or 15,632 square feet including Alternate 1. A separate pre-engineered metal storage building of approximately 1,300 square feet is also part of the project scope. The building is masonry cavity wall construction. It includes aluminum-framed windows and entrance system with insulating glass. The roof consists of single ply membrane EPDM roofing on steel deck and steel joists. The Work includes the exterior enclosure, mechanical and electrical work, interior finishes and related construction, including partitions, doors, casework, as well as exterior paving, landscape work, and other site improvements. Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond or a certified check in the amount of 10% of the Bid shall accompany the bid. Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted via email to the Architect by 5:00 pm on Friday, 17 May 2024. Requests for clarification or interpretation submitted after that date will not be answered. Owner reserves the right to: Accept Alternates in any order or combination, and to determine the low Bidder on the basis of the Base Bid and Alternates accepted. Reject any or all Bids, Reject a Bid not accompanied by required bid security or by other data required by the Bidding Documents, Reject a Bid that is in any way incomplete or irregular, Waive any irregularities in any Bid, Reject any Unit Prices for additions to or deductions from scheduled amount of work as given in Bid, if considered excessive or unreasonable; or to accept them, by including in Contract any or all of such Unit Prices considered fair and reasonable.
