Site work for a golf course in McCormick, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a golf course.

The SC Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism (SCPRT) is seeking qualified providers to provide all necessary materials and labor to preform tee box renovations on the golf course at Hickory Knob State Park and Resort Scope of Work 1. Site Conditions a. Contractor will not be permitted to work on the soil when it is wet to limit unacceptable compaction and churning up of the surrounding area 2. Site Preparation a. Site must be cleared of debris b. Cultivate the subsoil making sure that all organic material, such as tree and plant roots, are removed. c. Contractor will be required to mark out the area and set pegs, or similar, for the levels to be achieved and approved by SCPRT Park Management prior to starting work. 3. Removal of Top layer of existing Bermuda a. Currently there is approximately 65,340 sq. ft of existing Bermuda grass in the tee boxes at 19 locations that will need to be removed. 4. Site Preparation after removal a. Ground grade to remain as it currently exists. b. Bank/sloping at edge of tee boxes to remain as it currently exists. c. Fill low spots as needed for leveling of site with appropriate soils 5. Installation of Zeon Zoysia Sod a. 65,340 sq. feet of certified b. Grass must come from a certified grower 6. Disposal of existing grass in provided location a. Contractor will be responsible for moving and disposing of current Bermuda tee boxes to onsite location specified by the Director of Golf 7. Equipment a. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary tools, materials, equipment, labor, and experience needed to provide the services specified in this solicitation are to be provided by the contractor and all costs shall be included in the pricing b. Electricity is not available. Must provide your own power source if needed c. SCPRT will not have secure storage for contractors’ tools while preforming services. 8. Timeline/Park Access a. Work shall be carried out during the hours of (Dawn to Dusk), Mon-Friday. b. If the approved date/time is not met due to weather hazards the contractor will be responsible for making up the services within 24 hours weather permitting and with agreement from Park Staff. c. Prep work for new boxes will not be permitted to be completed during any wet conditions. d. Working is to be completed within 120 days from receipt of Purchase Order. 9. General Requirements a. All work will be completed in such a way as to protect existing architectural features from damage that are not included in the demolition plan. b. Protect all adjacent architectural features including but not limited to window glass, brick, unpainted roof framing, hardware, etc. removal or alteration features other than those listed in these specifications must be approved in advance by the SCPRT Procurement and Park Staff. c. If any condition exists that the contractor feels will adversely affect the acceptability of his or her work, then the contractor shall notify the SCPRT Representative in writing prior to commencing that portion of the work, stating conditions considered unsatisfactory and recommendations for rectifying the problems. d. Safety on the job is to be emphasized. Work shall comply with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations. e. Hazardous areas shall be delineated with hazard tape to prevent visitors from entering areas below work area. f. If poor weather conditions (rain, extreme cold) prevent the Contractor from working, Contractor shall notify the SCPRT Representative and the timeframe can be extended based on the agreed upon number of days. This must be documented via a change order to the contract. g. Contractor shall be responsible for all cleanup and repair of damages caused by work. 10. Licenses, Permits, Insurance a. All costs for required licenses, permits, and insurance shall be borne by the contractor and secured by the contractor. 11. Regulations and Standards a. The work shall comply with all laws, ordinances and regulations of all legally constituted authorities having jurisdiction over any part of this work. These requirements supplement the specifications and shall take precedence in case of conflict. b. All work shall be performed and completed in a thorough workmanlike and professional manner in accordance with best modern practices, regardless of any omissions from the attached specifications and/or drawings. 12. Quality Assurance a. Maintain experienced full-time supervisor(s) on Project Site during all times that material removal, installation, and cleanup is in progress. b. Supervisors shall not be changed during project except for causes beyond the control of the firm, and with prior approval from SCPRT. 16. Responsibilities of SCPRT a. Daily Audit of work to ensure quality at any time. b. Provide blackout dates for event expectations in advance. c. Be available to contractors for questions and support. d. Work with contract to established a work scheduled that is beneficial for both SC PRT and contractor. e. Inspect job site as well as work prior to job completion. 17. Invoicing and Payment 18. Submit invoice once all goods have been delivered and the services are complete. 19. Invoice must include the following mandatory items: i. A per unit price ii. Date of service iii. Type of service being preformed iv. PO number v. Total amount requested vi. Date vii. Vendor Remit to address 20. The vendor will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred in connection with providing this service over and above the quotations provided.
