The work involved in the project includes clearing & grubbing, 6" sewer force main & appurtenances installation, 8" gravity sewer line and concrete manhole installation, concrete wetwell installation, minor earthwork, and grassing as described in the construction drawings and specifications. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. DESCRIPTION A. CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, appurtenances and all services necessary to perform all Work required, at the lump sum or unit prices for the items listed herein. B. The items listed below beginning with Article 1.03, refer to and are the same pay items listed in the Proposal. They constitute all of the pay items for the completion of the Contract. No direct or separate payment will be made for providing miscellaneous temporary or accessory works, plant, services, CONTRACTOR’S or ENGINEER’S field offices, layout surveys, job signs, sanitary requirements, testing, safety devices, approval and record drawings, water supplies, power, removal of waste, watchmen, bonds, insurance, and all other requirements of the Contract Documents. Compensation for all such services, things and materials shall be included in the prices stipulated for the lump sum and unit pay items listed herein. CONSTRUCTION TIME: The undersigned bidder agrees to complete the Base Bid work in 120 Calendar Days from the date of the “Notice to Proceed” issued by the Engineer. An additional 60 Calendar Days will be added to the Base Bid Construction Time should Additive Alternate #1 be awarded. Period of Performance.
