Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in New Castle, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

As of June 17, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award was not yet been establsihed. Repairs/maintenance of the "big" shelter house located within Memorial Park. The project includes, but is not limited to general construction, electrical, plumbing, excavation, and concrete work. All bids for Phase 2 and Phase 3 must be completed in detail and in accordance with the specifications. Bid packages will be divided into 3 phases (1.) General Contracting, (2.) Excavating, Concrete & Masonry, and (3.) Plumbing & Electrical. All bids that are timely received will be opened and read aloud at a public meeting of the Board of Trustees on TBD. Each bidder shall be responsible for assuring that it has obtained a complete set of drawings, plans, specifications, and other contract documents and shall assume the risk of any errors or omissions in bids prepared in reliance on incomplete sets of plans, specifications, drawings, and other documents. All bidders must comply with the provisions of Indiana Code 5-16-13 and all other provisions of applicable law. The Board of Trustees of Memorial Park reserves the right to hold any and all bids or proposals for a period of not more than sixty (60) days and said bids or proposals shall remain in full force and effect during such period. The Board of Trustees of Memorial Park reserves the right to waive any minor informality, irregularity, or omission in any bid and to reject or cancel any and all bids, solicitations or proposals as provided by Indiana Code 36-1-12-4. The project award will occur no later than June 21, 2024. The shelter house will be available immediately at the time of award of the project and must be completed by September 1, 2024, unless otherwise agreed to and documented by the Park Superintendent.
