Site work for a water / sewer project in Martinsville, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

QUESTIONS RECEIVED AS OF JUNE 12, 2024 The sewer main will connect at an existing sanitary manhole at the intersection of Douglas Street and Mulberry Street then run east approximately 700 feet to Main Street then north in and along Main Street approximately 3,500 feet, all within the corporate limits of the City of Martinsville, Indiana. All bids shall be based on specifications prepared by Holloway Engineering, P.O. Box 234, Mooresville, Indiana by Ross O. Holloway, P.E. Work shall consist, in part, of construction of approximately 4,200 lineal feet of 4-inch Horizontally Directional Drilled (HDD), HDPE Force Main; approximately 300 lineal feet of 3-inch HDD, HDPE Force Main; approximately 270 lineal feet of 2-inch HDD, HDPE Force Main; approximately thirty-five (35) force main lateral connections; three air release valves; four force main clean-outs and extensive pavement repair. Contractor shall submit their bid on the "Indiana Bid Form 96" which is provided with contract documents. Contractor's bid shall show a bid cost for each item of work required in the itemized bid proposal of the Contract Specification. Bid price for said items of work shall include all materials, labor, equipment, bonds, insurance and any other items needed to complete the work to the satisfaction of the City of Martinsville. Contractor shall submit with their bid proof of general liability insurance in an amount not less than $5,000,000 and a bid bond or certified check drawn on a solvent bank in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted by the City of Martinsville, a contract will be entered into and performance of the contract properly secured. The City of Martinsville reserves the right to waive all bid technicalities and accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City of Martinsville. Contractor shall complete all in work required for the project not later than 120 calendar days after the notice to proceed. For every day after 120 calendar days that the work is not completed, the Contractor will be charged liquidated damages in the amount of $200 per calendar day.
