Questions Due Date: Jun 10th 2024, 2:00 PM EDT - All questions concerning this solicitation must be directed, via e-mail, to Chris McCauley, Purchasing Officer at cmccauley@norwalkct.gov Project Description: The City of Norwalk is requesting bids for the demolition and replacement of Café Floor at Rowayton Elementary and New Montessori Second Grade Classroom Upgrades at Brookside Elementary. The requirements of this project are outlined in greater detail under Section 2 Scope of Work/Project Specifications. Locations- Brookside Elementary, 382 Highland Ave, Norwalk, CT o Roton Elementary 1 Roton Ave, Norwalk, CT Project Summary and Scope of Work for this project shall include but shall not be limited to: 1. Selective removal of resilient flooring, bases, transition strips, wood flooring, sleepers, thresholds, associated accessories, and finishes where noted. 2. Installation of new cementitious fill, resilient flooring, bases, transition strips and thresholds. 3. Miscellaneous touch-up painting. 4. Temporary relocation of items as required to perform the work. 5. Cutting and patching as required perform the work. Estimated start date July 19, 2024 and complete by August 9, 2024. Rowayton Cafeteria Floor Replacement Summary of Work: The existing cafeteria flooring consists of a typical mid-20th century wood gym-style floating floor which has been overlaid with LVT resilient flooring. Spills of food service liquids have repeatedly caused buckling issues necessitating the replacement of the flooring system. The cafeteria floor system will be removed and the resulting void will be filled with cementitious fill, overlaid with new LVT flooring and finished with rubber wall base. Refer to the drawings and project manual for specifications and details. Responsive bidder will need to coordinate work with owners' vendors. General Trades: o Demolition o Blocking o Caulking o Concrete Pouring o Flooring & Wall Base o Touch-up Paint if/as needed adjacent to new construction PROJECT SCHEDULE: Begin upon executed contract, estimated July 19, 2024 and completion by August 14, 2024. The budget for this project is $350,000.00.
