Description: The City of Battle Creek will accept sealed bids for the Claude Evans Park Improvement project. This project consists of, but is not limited to, a base bid for the Claude Evans Park improvements and an additional bid package for a food truck parking area adjacent to Claude Evans Park. The food truck parking area is going to be considered after the evaluation of the Claude Evans Park improvements bid. This is being bid as two possible completion dates with separate unit pricing columns for each date. The completion date for the project will be decided after the evaluation of the received bids. The Claude Evans Park improvement's project consists of the site clearing of 2.3 +/- acres, excavation of a detention pond 9,127 cyd +/-, storm sewer installation work with pipe size ranging from 6 inch to 18 inch, parking lot site preparation and paving consisting of 1,642 tons +/- of HMA and misc concrete flatwork. On-site camera systems and on-site electrical are also included in this bid. The Food Truck Area addition consists of tree removal, misc concrete/pavement/storm removals, 1179+/- syd of earth excavation, 1,067+/- syd of aggregate base, 175+/- tons of HMA, misc concrete flatwork, Shared Use Path grading and paving, and a 12' wide Bioretention swale.
