Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The proposed Work involves removal and replacement of the existing 1200 mm concrete culvert crossing the Valley Trail with a new 1800 mm diameter culvert with concrete cutoff walls. Work also includes construction of an energy dissipation pool, installation of 52 m of pedestrian fence and reinstatement of sections of the Valley Trail used for site access. The City has confirmed the former Silverwood Lagoon site can be used as a laydown area, which the Contractors shall ensure is cleaned up and reinstated. Tree clearing will be required at the project site prior to construction. The Contractor will notify the City of the anticipated work schedule and a City Representative will complete a bird survey prior to tree clearing. Culvert replacement is to be completed during the regulatory in-stream work period of June 1 to September 30, 2024 and in accordance with the conditions of Watercourse and Wetland Alteration (WAWA) Permit ALT 75410'24. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid bond or certified cheque in lieu thereof in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Tender Price (including H.S.T.). Question Deadline 06/06/2024 at 5:00 PM AT
