The City is soliciting bids for the purpose of contracting for the City's requirements for sodium hypochlorite. This is a three or six month contact, there will be no renewals. This short term is in response to the volatility of chemical supplies at the moment and will allow the City too more accurately budget. We expect to return to annual term contracts once the market levels back out. 1. Material Content- Manufacturing of Sodium Hypochlorite shall be in accordance with and meet ANSI/NSF/AWWA Standard 60 Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals. 2. Normal Load Size- Load size shall be a full tanker 4500 gallons, unless smaller amount ordered. Delivery is subject to owner's approval and must be made within 72 hours after notification of order. 3. Estimated Yearly UsageVerona Pumping Station = 60,000 Gallons/ 600,000 Lbs. 4. Unloading Procedure- Contractor using air loading for the transfer of product from the delivery vehicle to the bulk storage tanks at the Verona Pumping Stations are responsible for monitoring the transfer operation at all times and not allowing the compressed air in the delivery tank to enter the bulk storage tanks. Failure to monitor and prevent this action will result in the vendor being responsible for inspections and repair or replacement of any damage caused to the bulk storage tanks. Submission of additional terms, conditions or agreements with the bid document is grounds for deeming a bid nonresponsive and may result in bid rejection. The City reserves the right to reject any bids and to waive any informalities and minor irregularities defects in bids. Bids may be withdrawn in person by a bidder, or authorized representative, provided their identity is made known and a receipt is signed for the bid, but only if the withdrawal is made prior to the time set for receipt of bids. Bids are an irrevocable offer and may not be withdrawn within 90 days after opening date.
