The Work consists of the following: 1. Temporary erosion and sediment control measures, site clearing, earthwork operations, storm sewerage, asphalt paving, concrete curbs, walks and paving, engineered wood fiber surfacing, artificial turf surfacing, sport court paving, striping, fencing, and gates, play and fitness equipment installation, shelter installation, site furnishings, native planting, and planting and seeding. Work will include site preparation ,construction fencing, temporary erosion and sediment control measures, site removals and clearing, earthwork operations, storm sewer utilities, cast-in-place concrete foundations & footings, stone masonry, playground & fitness equipment installation, shelter installation, site furnishings, pedestrian asphalt paving, sport court paving & striping, concrete walks & curbs, engineered wood fiber surfacing, artificial turf surfacing, chain link fencing & gates, trees, shrubs, & low plant material, native plantings, and turf seeding. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Wood Dale Park District. The successful bidder, as determined by the Wood Dale Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of the Wood Dale Park District (DuPage County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Wood Dale Park District, certified payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month. The Wood Dale Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be with-drawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Wood Dale Park District. The Wood Dale Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
