Saving Project...

Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Americus, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a laboratory facility; for the construction of a laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.

The proposed project is approximately 23,000 GSF of new construction anticipated to fully replace the instructional, office, and research functions currently in Roney and Science. The project is planned as an addition to the 82K GSF Carter Health and Human Sciences Complex (built 201- 2012), where in recent years GSW has converted underutilized instructional spaces into three modern instructional labs (Chemistry, Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology) that primarily serve nursing and allied health majors. The assignable space program in the new addition will be supplemented by existing lab and classroom capacity in the Carter HHS Complex and classroom bandwidth in the adjacent 45K GSF Education center. It has been deemed appropriate to engage a professional services firm to provide comprehensive planning and design services for the proposed project. Specific guidelines for the project include building designs that are: o attractive and contextual with the existing campus buildings and meet the design guidelines established in the campus master plan. o energy-efficient and sustainable Deadline for written questions/requests for clarification (see Section 6). 06/26/24 2:00pm
