Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

All Questions and Requests for Clarification will only be accepted in writing via e-mail ATTN: Bid Administrator, bids@sdcoe.net and must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. JUNE 6, 2024. Bids must be submitted on the Bid form provided by the SDCOE and included in the bid documents. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to this Notice Calling for Bids, the Information for Bidders, and other Contract Documents. SDCOE reservesthe right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Except as provided in Public Contract Code Section 5100 et seq. no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the opening of the bids. In contracts involving expenditure in excess of $25,000.00, Civil Code section 3247(a), the successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by SDCOE in the form set forth in the contract documents. The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bonds are set forth in the Contract Documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The class of California contractor's license(s) required in order to bid on and perform the contract for this Project is: "A" OR "B" The County may have made a finding that certain brand or trade names are necessary in order to maintain conformity among its campuses, compatibility with existing systems and to streamline maintenance and parts storage. A copy of the resolution is incorporated in the bid documents under Specifications. *A payment bond must be filed for a contract involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000 (Civil Code section 3247 (a)) and may be required for contracts involving smaller expenditures at the option of SDCOE. The Project is referred to as SDCOE Campus Modernization - Phase 01. The Project is located at 6401 Linda Vista Road, at the southeast corner of the intersection of Linda Vista Road and Via Las Cumbres, of San Diego, San Diego County, California. The Project is for the San Diego County Office of Education, 6401 Linda Vista RoadSan Diego, CA 92111 Scope of work is as described below and shown in the Contract Documents prepared by MGPA Architecture (MGPA). The buildings are existing slab-on-grade, stucco on wood studs, some steel frame, concrete shear panels, with typical and low-slope membrane roofing. 1. Annex Buildings: 1) HVAC controls upgrade at Annex & B, 2) fire alarm system upgrade, 3) new wireless clocks, 4) new public address speakers, 5) new power for EMCS. 2. Building 100: 1)) fire alarm system upgrade, 2) new wireless clocks, 3) new public address speakers, 4) new power for EMCS. 3. Building 200: 1) Modifications to hot and chilled water piping, 2) fire alarm system upgrade, 3) new wireless clocks, 4) new public address speakers, 5) new power and signals infrastructure for future HVAC controls. 4. Building 300: 1) HVAC controls upgrade, 2) fire alarm system upgrade, 3) new wireless clocks, 4) new public address speakers, 5) new power for EMCS. 5. Building 400: 1) New ceilings, 2) new HVAC system inclusive of roof-mounted equipment, ducting, and air diffusers, 3) HVAC controls upgrade, 4) fire alarm system upgrade, 5) new wireless clocks, 6) new public address speakers, 7) new power for HVAC components, 8) new interior lighting, and 9) new single-ply roofing system, 10) new tubular skylights over Conference Room 401/402. 6. Building 500: 1) New ceilings, 2) new HVAC system inclusive of roof-mounted equipment, ducting, and air diffusers, 3) HVAC controls upgrade, 4) fire alarm system upgrade, 5) new wireless clocks, 6) new public address speakers, 7) new power for HVAC components, 8) new interior lighting, 9) new interior partitions, 10) power and signal for new interior partitions, 11) new exterior exit access doors, 12) interior finish renovations, 13) new single-ply roofing system, 14) new tubular skylights over new offices. 7. Building 600: 1) HVAC controls upgrade, 2) fire alarm system upgrade, 3) new wireless clocks, 4) new public address speakers, 5) new power and signals infrastructure for future HVAC controls
