Parking Lot Repair at SECC 1100 E. 46th St. Davenport, Iowa 1. Repair two areas of existing parking lot - approximately 705 SY (Labeled A and B) on attached drawing. 2. Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) Standard Specifications for Highway and Bridge Construction, Series 2023, plus General Supplemental Specifications, GS-23002, April 16, 2024, shall apply to construction work on this project. 3. Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Full Depth Finish Patches shall be constructed in accordance with Iowa DOT Standard Specification 2529: a. Existing cross section at patch locations is approximately 6 inches of HMA, 6 inches of Granular Subbase, and 6 inches of aggregate course used for construction staging. b. Areas to be patched shall be sawed a minimum 6 inches in depth. c. Excavate areas to a depth of 18 inches. d. Place subgrade stabilization material in accordance with Iowa DOT Standard Specification 2113. Use a biaxial polymer grid material in accordance with Article 4196.01, B, 5, a. (Tenax LBO 170 or similar) e. Place and compact 12 inches of Modified Subbase - Iowa DOT Standard Specification 4123 - Gradation No. 14. Place in lifts not exceeding a nominal compacted thickness of 6 inches. f. Place 6 inches of HMA. HMA shall be placed in 3 layers. Each layer shall be 2 inches in thickness. HMA shall be placed with an asphalt mixture paving machine in accordance with Iowa DOT Standard Specification 2001.19. g. Contractor shall bid a square yard price for this work. h. Method of Measurement: Full Depth Finish Patch, by Area. The full depth finish patches will be computed in square yards to the nearest 0.1 square yard from measurements of the areas of pavement removed and replaced. i. Basis of Payment: Iowa DOT Standard Specification 2529.05, A, 2. All work associated with furnishing and installing subgrade stabilization material and modified subbase material shall be incidental to this bid item. Work to be completed prior to September 30, 2024.
