Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Black Diamond, Washington. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work to be performed under this contract includes the demolition and construction of the Black Diamond Skatepark, including phases one through four, as well as one ADA parking stall, pathway and viewing area structure. The building site is located at the Black Diamond Elementary School and is on Enumclaw School District property. All possible action shall be taken NOT to affect school activities or create possible hazards during construction. The Engineer's opinion of probable cost is $1,608,654.95. Bidders are encouraged to "Register as a Bidder" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and be placed on the "Bidders List". All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Black Diamond. The City of Black Diamond reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days.
