Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Fellsmere, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The proposed project includes the construction of a 9,035 square foot new Fire Station/EMS building located at 9700 26th PL Fellsmere, FL. The space will be split between dorm, office, facility and equipment storage, as well as a three bay apparatus room. The building will consist of a single-story concrete block structure with a standing seam metal roof over self-sealing underlayment. Civil site work will include the construction of a paved road along 98th Avenue: and construction of concrete driveway and parking lot. Proposed work will also include installation of drainage structures, construction of drainage swales, utility pipework for forcemains and watermains, and the construction of a lift station. Bid Security Must Accompany Each Bid, and Must Be in the Form of an Aia Document A310 Bid Bond, Properly Executed by the Bidder and by a Qualified Surety, or a Certified Check or a Cashiers Check, Drawn on Any Bank Authorized to Do Business in the State of Florida. Bid Security Must Be in the Sum of Not Less Than Five Percent (5%)of the Total Amount of the Bid, Made Payable to Indian River County Board of County Commissioners. In the Event the Contract is Awarded to the Bidder, Bidder Will Enter in a Contract With the County and Furnish the Required 100% Public Construction Bond and Certificates of Insurance Within the Timeframe Set by the County. If Bidder Fails to Do So, the Bid Security Shall Be Retained by the County as Liquidated Damages and Not as Penalty The County reserves the right to delay awarding of the Contract for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening, to waive informalities in any bid, or reject any or all bids in whole or in part with or without cause/or to accept the bid that, in its judgement, will serve the best interest of Indian River County, Florida.
