Student Life Center Mechanical System Improvement. Submission of an electronic response to the University of Hawaii constitutes and shall be deemed an offer to sell the specified goods and/or services to the University of Hawaii at the price shown in the response and under the University of Hawaii's Terms and Conditions. The electronic response submitter certifies that he/she is authorized to sign the response for the submitting vendor and that the response is made without connection with any person, firm, or corporation making a response for the same goods and/or services and is in all respects fair and without collusion or fraud. No copies of the project scope of work documents will be available at the pre-bid conference. c. Questions, regarding the scope of work or project schedule, may arise at the pre-bid conference, from project site visit(s), or at any time prior to the close of bids. Bidders shall submit questions or clarification requests via the HePS Question and Answer section located in this solicitation. Questions and clarification requests must be submitted by the questions deadline date indicated in this Solicitation. Clarifications and/or answers to questions will be distributed by amendments to this Solicitation. All interior work and any work which will disrupt operations, to be performed during the University's summer break of 2025 between the dates of June 2 and August 11, 2025. Exterior work that does not disrupt operations can occur any time This project is an addition of a back-up direct expansion air cooled split system and the replacement of existing locker room exhaust fans. The scope of work includes selective demolition and the installation of a direct expansion split system air cooled condensing unit and air handling unit, and associated piping, pipe insulation, structural steel support, instrumentation and controls, electrical, concrete slab on grade extension, chain link fence, fire alarm, sealants and miscellaneous related work. Additionally, the replacement of two (2) existing exhaust fans in the Locker rooms including ductwork, gypsum board ceiling removal and replacement, painting, electrical and miscellaneous related work. The University reserves the right, at any time, if additional funds are available, to add additional work to the project scope during construction. The work may include, but is not limited to, new work, repairs, upgrades and demolition. Any additional work will generally be within the Project Limits. The deadline to submit requests for clarification of the requirements of this IFB is June 7, 2024. All clarification requests shall be submitted via HePS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS section, and all responses shall be issued in an addendum.
