Renovation of a residential development in Plymouth, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
County of Marshall, Indiana, by and through its County Commissioners, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, will receive sealed bid packets for an owner occupied housing rehabilitation project. Please make sure the outside of the bid packet states: "BID FOR HOUSING REHABILITATION PROJECT ". All bids will be time stamped upon receipt. Bids received after such hour will be returned unopened. All interested citizens are invited to attend and should any citizens require special provisions, such as handicapped modifi cations or non-English translation personnel, contact the County ADA Coordinator at (574) 935-8720, such provisions will be provided as long as the request is made by June 14, 2024. All prime contractors, subcontractors, small, minority or women owned enterprises and other interested parties are invited to attend. The Project will entail rehabilitation work on four (4) homes scattered throughout Marshall County. Bidders can submit a bid on all homes or elect to limit their bid to specifi c addresses. A summary of the work to be included entails: 1. Home #5 (11341 Castle Drive, Plymouth, Indiana): Improvements will include the replacement of the existing furnace and condensing unit, installation of new toilet in main bath, replacement of fl ooring in both baths with non-slip vinyl, replacement of fascia and soffi t on one side of house, and the installation of a new chimney cap and roof seal. ( Note: Home #6 was previously awarded in Round 1 Bidding). 2. Home #7 (1009 Lake Avenue, Plymouth, Indiana): Improvements will include the replacement of the existing roof and attic insulation. 3. Home #8 (1208 Sycamore Street, Plymouth, Indiana): Improvements will include the replacement of existing roof, gutters & downspouts; with needed tree removal. 4. Home #9 (101 West Randolph Street, La Paz, Indiana): Improvements will include the replacement of existing roof, fascia, soffi t, gutters & downspouts. Plans and Specifi cations for the Project are on fi le and may be examined at the following locations: Marshall County Building Department, 112 West Jefferson Street, Room #302, Plymouth, Indiana or SRKM Architecture,120 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana. The work to be performed and the bid to be submitted shall include suffi cient and proper sums for all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and so forth incidental to and required for the construction of the facilities. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the Project and the name and address of the Bidder. All bids must be submitted on the bid forms as identifi ed in the Contract Documents and Specifi cations. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certifi ed check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the Owner, in a sum of not less than fi ve percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid, which check or bond will be held by the Owner as evidence that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, enter into the same with the Owner upon notifi cation from him to do so within ten (10) days of said notifi cation. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid, or all bids, or to accept any bid or bids, or to make such combination of bids as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specifi ed shall not be considered. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. A conditional or qualifi ed Bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder. he Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualifi ed to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Project site(s) and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents and Specifi cations. Wage rates on the project are NOT subject to the federal wage scale published by the U.S. Department of Labor. Bidders on this work shall be required to comply with the provisions of the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority has adopted a State goal of 10% participation for minority and women owned businesses for construction related or purchase related contracts for the work.
