Site work for a civil project in Milford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of August 12, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. Atimeline for award has not yet been established. The Town of Milford, acting through the Water Department, is soliciting bids for the Echo Lake Dam Improvements Project. This project includes: Site Mobilization, establishing staging areas and erosion controls, coring and installation/grouting of anchor pins into a stone masonry dam, fabrication and installation of a walkway and site access features, demolition of existing spillway controls, fabrication and installation of new spillway controls and access features, excavation of soils, toe drain installation, grouted riprap scour protection, installation, chain link fence installation, timber shutter wall replacement, and site restoration. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on site to review the project, see the bid documents for a date and time. A 5% bid deposit is required with the bid submission. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. Owner may conduct investigations as Owner deems necessary to establish the responsibility, qualifications, and financial ability of the Bidders, proposed Subcontractors, Suppliers, individuals, or entities to perform the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to complete post-bid opening interviews to support their evaluation of the bids. The work on Echo Lake Dam Improvements includes: 1. Mobilize to the site. Establish access and staging areas. 2. Install erosion and sediment control devices as required. 3. Core 19, 6" diameter holes 20-feet into the stone masonry structure and install 2.5-diameter threaded anchor rods. Alt-1 includes the coring 38, 4" diameter holes 20-feet into the stone masonry structure and install 1.75-diameter threaded anchor rods 4. Grout the threaded rods into place. 5. Fabricate and install metal frames, grating walkway, and railing on the downstream side of the dam crest. 6. Remove the existing spillway controls, access bridges, and timber components of the shutter wall. 7. Fabricate and install new spillway stanchions, stoplog control system, and stop log lifter device and provide chainfall operators. 8. Fabricate and install a new spillway access bridge. 9. Excavate soils at the toe of the dam and install a foundation drain and grouted riprap scour apron. 10. Install access ladders and stairways at the site to improve site access. 11. Install chain-link fencing around the site to improve site security. 12. Install new floor plate, timber posts, and timber shutter wall panels. 13. Restore site upon project completion.
