Rerouting and relocation of existing plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems to provide access for the installation of relocated Microscope equipment, and to accommodate the needs of the new Microscope suite. - Construction of new partitions and installation of doors, frames, and hardware in the renovated Microscope Suite. - Replacement and patching of ceilings, and wall and floor finishes. - Painting of walls and ceilings. - Installation of new floor finishes including but not limited to sheet vinyl flooring. - Installation of millwork. - Relocation of existing utilities buried in walls demolished in the renovation of the area. - Lighting and electric power as required including all temporaries, services and connections. - Installation of Owner-provided equipment and reinstallation of existing equipment to be installed as part of this Contract. - Coordination with the Work of other Contractors including the installation of the existing Thermo Fisher Scientific Tundra Cryo Electron Microscope. - Patching and painting of all areas beyond the project area disturbed to bring services to the project area. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the form required by UCHC, having as surety thereto such surety company or companies acceptable to UCHC and as are authorized to do business in this State, for an amount not less than 10 per cent of the Bid, or the Bid may be accompanied by a certified check payable to the order of UCHC. All checks submitted by unsuccessful Bidders shall be returned to them after the Contract has been awarded. Bid Security is not required for projects under $20,000.00 Prior to the award of the Contract, the successful Bidder shall substitute for the Bid Bond or check accompanying his Bid, an executed UCHC Performance Bond, in the amount of 100 per cent of the Contract Price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract. UCHC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids within 90 calendar days of the Bid opening, and the Bidder agrees that it may not modify, withdraw, or cancel its Bid and that its Bid Price will be firm for this 90 day period. This 90 day period may be extended by mutual agreement between UCHC and the Bidder.
