Conservation Halton is interested in contracting for the following works; The project scope delivers improvements to the 16 Mile Creek watershed through the restoration of key natural heritage features and functions within the Boyne Valley floodplain. This includes the restoration of new treed and open wetlands, floodplain forests, native meadows and several significant wildlife habitat features. The habitat enhancements include the following key features: 1. Two (2) Large Dug Floodplain Wetlands (earthworks and soil management plan) 2. Pit and Mound Floodplain Reforestation (with vernal pools and wildlife habitat features) 3. Two (2) Turtle Nesting Beaches 4. Flood Control Landform 5. Various Wildlife Habitat Features.
