Replace 2 20ton Roof Top HVAC Units. MBE Participation (%) 10.00 The work shall be completed within 150calendar days from the start date of the contract. The following bonds are required if the Contract Amount, including Unit Prices, Allowances and Alternates as applicable, is in excess of $100,000.00 1) Bid Bond in the amount of 5% 2) Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% It consists of the Contractor furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary and incidentals for the completion of the work described in the Project Manual. Addendum 4, Bid date extended from 6/25/2024. The work to be accomplished under this contract is located at the Maryland Correctional Training Center, 18800 Roxberry Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Please see the Project Manual for all details. The Contractor is requested to remove the existing two (2) Packaged Roof Mounted HVAC units and replace them with two (2) new Packaged Roof Top Mounted HVAC units. To remove and replace with new VAV heating control valves/associated actuators, and associated thermostats to twenty-six (26) existing VAV units. To remove and replace with new, two steam control valves and actuators. To remove existing the pneumatic HVAC Control system and replace with a new electronically controlled HVAC Control System, to control the new HVAC Units, the VAV control valves/thermostats and the steam control valves are to be connected/tied in with the existing Building Management System. The Contractor shall be required to obtain an Electrical Inspection Certificate from a non-governmental inspection agency approved by the State Fire Marshall's office. B. Description of Work: 1. The work to be accomplished under this contract is located at the Maryland Correctional Training Center, 18800 Roxberry Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740. It consists of the Contractor furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary and incidentals for the completion of the work described herein. 2. Base bid: a. The Contractor is to coordinate with Facility Maintenance Staff to isolate all equipment. Then disconnect all utilities as required. b. Remove the existing Roof Mounted HVAC units and replace them with new Roof Top Mounted HVAC units. The new units are to be positioned using the existing roof penetration. As required the Contractor will arrange for a crane to remove and install the prosed roof HVAC Units. If required, the Contractor shall retain the services of a Structural Engineer to determine additional bracing etc. to roof structure. If required, the Contractor shall employ a Roofing Contractor to ensure the new installation is watertight etc. c. To remove and replace the existing pneumatic controlled VAV heating valves and thermostats with new electronic VAV heating control valve and associated thermostats to twenty-six (26) VAV units. d. To remove the existing pneumatic control valves from two (2) steam control valves and replace them with new electronically controlled control valves. e. To supply and install a new electronically connected and controlled HVAC Building Management Controller. Which is to be compatible with and connected/tied in with the existing Building Management System. Commission and set installed system to work. f. The Contractor will coordinate with the Facility Manager to arrange for the Facility Building Management System Contractor to add the proposed equipment to the Facility wide Building Management System. g. As required have all electrical work inspected by Non-Governmental Electrical Inspector, h. Remove all debris, and waste materials and dispose of, off site legally.
