Lake Lindsey Road is a two-lane rural collector roadway located in Hernando County approximately six miles north of Brooksville. The Lake Lindsey Phase 4 project includes roadway resurfacing and associated improvements within the existing right-of-way. Work generally consists of shoulder improvements, drainage enhancements, driveway reconstruction, minor roadway realignments to improve safety and alignment, and related roadway improvements. Refer to the construction plans and specifications herein for complete project details. Bid offers shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Official Bank Check in the dollar amount representing not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid as a guarantee to enter into a contract and furnish a contract performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of notification of the award. The work generally consists of roadway milling and resurfacing along with associated improvements necessary to restore roadway functionality and improve safety within the project limits. Work shall be performed in accordance with the approved construction plans and specifications included in the solicitation documents. C. Major Work Elements 1. Pavement Milling and Resurfacing a. Milling of the existing asphalt pavement surface where indicated in the construction plans. b. Placement and compaction of new asphalt pavement in accordance with FDOT standards. c. Adjustment of roadway surface elevations as required to match existing conditions. 2. Shoulder Improvements a. Widening and/or hardening of roadway shoulders along both sides of the roadway where indicated in the construction plans. b. Placement of base materials, stabilization, and grading necessary to achieve the required shoulder cross-section. 3. Driveway Reconstruction a. Reconstruction, adjustment, and tie-in of existing residential and commercial driveways within the project limits b. Driveways shall be reconstructed to match the new roadway profile and maintain proper drainage and accessibility. 4. Drainage Improvements ndsey Phase 4 Resurfacing - Snow Memorial Hwy to US 41 (Broad St) 108 a. Minor drainage improvements including grading, swale re-establishment, culvert adjustments if required, and other drainage-related work necessary to maintain or improve stormwater conveyance. 5. Site Restoration a. Restoration of all areas disturbed during construction. b. Includes grading, stabilization, and installation of sod or seed as required.
