If the bid exceeds $20,000.00, the bidder must be pre-qualified by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, for the discipline specified, on the date that the bids are received. Any bid submitted under the terms of New Jersey Statutes, not including a copy of a valid and active Pre-qualification/Classification Certificate, will be rejected as being non-responsive. The Old Bridge Township Board of Education assumes no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The Old Bridge Township Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informality in the bidding if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education to do so. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. Pertaining to the Public School Contracts Law.The successful bidder shall comply with all requirements of P.L. 1975, Chapter 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27). The Bid Proposal must include a Bid Security, either submitted in a certified check, cashiers check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid proposal.
