The Scope of Work of Phase II of the Sunset Lake Park Improvements in Upper Deerfield Township includes constructing an asphalt parking area with two (2) accessible parking stalls; replacing chain link fence; removing asphalt pavement; spreading new topsoil and grass seed; constructing accessible walkways with protective bollards; and installing picnic tables, benches, and waste receptacles. The Scope also includes grubbing, grading, and any/all other preparations requisite for the proposed improvements as well as clean up and removal of all work-related debris. Sunset Lake Park Improvements, Phase II. The Upper Deerfield Township Committee reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Financial Assistance for this project is made possible by a grant from the: New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Division of Housing and Community Resources Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program Mr. Phil Murphy, Governor, State of New Jersey Ms. Tahesha Way, Lieutenant Governor, State of New Jersey Ms. Jacquelyn Suárez, (Acting) Commissioner, New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Each bidder must deposit with their bid a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total lump sum bid, including all alternates, or $20,000.00, whichever is less, as a guarantee that in the event a contract is awarded to such bidder, they shall promptly execute a contract for work. Upon failure to do so, the bidder shall forfeit the amount of said check or bid bond as liquidated damages and not as penalty. A performance bond, payment bond, and/or maintenance bond is required for their contract. Each bidder shall furnish with their bid a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the Contractor with the bids required. No bidder may withdraw their bids within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Federal Labor Standards require that contractors and subcontractors pay the higher of the Federal or State Wage Rates and fringe benefits in effect at the time the Contract is signed. Bidders are required to comply with the anti-Discrimination Laws of the State of New Jersey, in particular the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Such statutory language is hereby incorporated into the Contract with the Successful Bidder by reference. All bids must be accompanied by a copy of the Contractor's and all subcontractors' registration certificates or applications for registration through the Federal System for Award Management (SAM). Upon approval of any pending applications for registration, the successful Contractor and any subcontractors must submit copies of the approved registration certificates to the Owner. SAM registration must be renewed and kept current during the course of the Contract. Any corporation or partnership submitting a bid shall include with their bid, or prior thereto, a list of the names and addresses of all shareholders or partners who own ten percent (10%) or more of the corporation or partnership. Checks are to be made payable to Upper Deerfield Township. The Upper Deerfield Township Committee reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
