It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Overview: The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for an Iowa licensed electrical contractor to provide all materials, labor and equipment necessary for electrical splicing at the Jasper and Dallas Weigh Stations as per plans/specifications attached in this solicitation. Work to be performed M-F 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST. Contractor to give 24-hour notice and coordinate outages with IDOT. Estimated Project Start Date: After Award (Start Date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager) DOT is seeking an Iowa licensed electrician for completion of this project. Inspections: Electrical inspections through the State Electrical Inspector required. This project is exempt from state sales tax.
