Demolition and site work for a retail development in Sparta, Tennessee. Working plans call for the demolition of a retail development; and for site work for a retail development.
*As of June 26, 2024 this project has been rejected and will be out for a rebid at a later date.* The City of Sparta is seeking qualified contractors to submit proposais for the demolition of a building located at 33 W Bockman Way. The purpose pf this project is to safely and efficiently demolish the specified structure, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and minimizing disruption to the surrounding area. Payment will not be made until the City Administrator and the City of Sparta Street, Water, Electric, and Codes Departments inspect and approve work. SCOPE OF WORK : The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to: Pre-Demolition Planning Obtaining necessary permits and approvals. Conducting a pre-demolition site assessment. Preparing a demolition plan including timeline and safety measures. Demolition Activities Safe and controlled demolition of the building structure. Removal of all debris and waste materials from the site. Post-Demolition Activities Site cleanup and grading. o Basement to be filled with brick from site, topped with gravel,, and sloped from sidewalk grade to parking lot grade. Ensure site safety and security until fill and grading is complete. Final inspection and sign-off from relevant authorities. All questions regarding this REP must be submitted in writing to Mike O'Neal, Codes Enforcement Officer, at m,oneaI@spartatn.goy by Thursday 5/30/24 at 4:00 pm Central Time. Responses to all questions will be distributed to all potential bidders. The City of Sparta reserves the right to accept or reject any or ail proposals.
