Renovation of a mixed-use development in Greenwood, Mississippi. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of June 24th, 2024 - this project has been cancelled. sealed bids will be received for the project named below by the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District. Project Identification: 24017 Greenwood Leflore Consolidated Schools High School & Elementary Reroofing. Project Location: Site A: Greenwood High School, 1209 Garrard Avenue, Greenwood, MS 38932. Site B: Davis Elementary School: 400 Cotton Street, Greenwood, MS 38930. The project scope of work at Greenwood High School and Davis Elementary School located in Greenwood, Mississippi is funded by the school district. This project involves the removal of the existing roofing systems to the roof deck and replacing them with a new TPO roofing system. Additionally, it includes removing and replacing the existing gutters and downspouts with new ones at both sites. The Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Bid proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked plainly on the outside of the envelope with the following: "Greenwood Leflore Consolidated Schools High School and Elementary Reroofing Project; Project number 24017 to be opened June 13, 2024". Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute a contract and post-Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The owner reserves the right to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to ninety (90) days. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work by Substantial Completion August 15, 2024. The work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
