Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Comox, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,142-square-foot, one-story above grade transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

This project involves construction of a pavilion to house and display the 1948 de Havilland Vampire Mark III aircraft at the Comox Air Force Museum Heritage Air Park. As its partial wooden construction prevents storage outside, the Vampire has been kept in a hanger since it's arrival at CFB Comox in 2000. This project will provide a permanent home for the Vampire on full display to the public. The pavilion features a large roof overhang and glass enclosure to protect the aircraft from the elements, while allowing up-close viewing from all sides. This project includes excavation, concrete foundation and slab, steel structure, metal roofing, plumbing, HVAC and electrical scopes. This project will be tendered and completed in four phases. Phase 1 (current tender) includes the following scopes: Civil works. Underground and in-slab plumbing Underground and in-slab electrical. Concrete reinforcing Concrete foundations and slab Structural steel embeds and anchors. This project is funded by donations raised by the Comox Valley Air Force Museum Association. Their fundraising efforts and the generosity of the community have made it possible for this project to start construction, however further contributions are needed to meet the $1 million target and fund later phases of work.
