It is anticipated that the work performed under this two year contract for miscellaneous welding maintenance and repair will include some or all of the following: All materials, labor, equipment and services necessary to make repairs to stairwells, railings, doors, door frames, hinges, HVAC ventilation security screens, window security screens, fencing, gates or any other welding needs as may be directed by the County. The extent and exact locations of the contract work shall be coordinated through the Division of Facilities Management on an as needed basis. Please be aware that Atlantic County has facilities located in Atlantic City (East) - Out to Mays Landing, Hammonton (West), to Somers Point, Corbin City, Buena (South) and Galloway, Port Republic (North) & many others in between. As some worksites may include secured areas, e.g., Jail, detention center, courthouses, workers may be subjected to a background check. Workers may also be required to present proper identification to enter facilities. The contractor must ensure that all tools, ladders, equipment, and building materials are accounted for and secured at all times and at the end of each workday Q & A Deadline: 06/05/2024 11:00 AM CDT Allows zero unit prices and labor : Yes Allows negative unit prices and labor : Yes CONTRACT TERM The contract term shall be for a Two (2) year term, commencing from AUGUST 1, 2024, through JULY 31, 2026 unless sooner revoked by the County for noncompliance with its provisions, or if funds for the contract are exhausted. Bond Notes: If a bid security is required with the bid, the bidder must upload a copy of the certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to the County of Atlantic. The original document must be received by the County of Atlantic Purchasing Office no later than 5 business days after the close of bids. The Bidder that is awarded a contract shall, simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the acceptable bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract. The surety on such bond or bonds shall be a duly authorized surety company authorized to issue performance bonds in the State of New Jersey Owner Rights:If the County determines, in its sole judgment, that the proposed deviation, change or alteration materially alters the requirements of this Bid to the disadvantage of the County, or is otherwise deemed by the County to be inconsistent with the County's requirements, including but not limited to requirements imposed by law, the County reserves the right to reject the Bid.
