OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE /PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR SUNDERLAND ARENA RENOVATION AND EXPANSION PROJECT The Township of Brock is looking to engage the services of a Project Manager (PM) to oversee the planning, design and construction for the expansion and renovation of the Sunderland Arena. The intention of the Township is to have a qualified PM oversee all aspects of the Project and to remain engaged and managing the project deliverables until all deficiencies are corrected and Township staff are safely and comfortably settled in their renovated premises. The desired candidate will possess the following criteria: Relevant experience, expertise and the appropriate levels of dedicated time to successfully deliver the project; Experience working with municipal recreation projects; Engaging presentation skills and the strong leadership qualities that are able to elicit the needs of the Township; Developed processes and disciplined PM principles that are founded on PMI’s core knowledge areas and Industry Best Practices; Comprehensive and controlled management approach that endorses an integration of planning, initiation, execution, and control and closeout activities; Business or group/department within a business, that focuses exclusively on offering Independent Project Management Services. Can provide value added services to reduce the cost of the project, reduce risk, and drive performance of the project team. The Sunderland Arena project aims to renovate and expand the existing facility to ensure this important community hub is available to serve Sunderland, Brock Township, and the surrounding areas for years to come. Specifically, the project will: Expand the ice surface of the arena to a minimum of 75’ x 175’ and maximum of 80’ x 200’, replace the concrete pad in the arena, update the refrigeration system, and reconfigure seating around the rink. Expand the building to include four to six new dressing rooms (2 of which will be accessible), a community storage use room, and an ice resurfacer room. Expand the building to include a storage room if it can be achieved within budget. Renovate the existing lobby, dressing rooms, and second floor auditorium. *As of June 28, 2024, the award of contract has been announced, CBRE has been awarded.
