Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ceres, California. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Per the owner, as of September 3, 2024, an award has been made for this solicitation. The owner states that construction is anticipated to begin in late 2025. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............. Services will include preparation of necessary plans, specification, estimates, and document preparation. o Participate in coordination meetings with City staff, impacted utility companies, and stakeholders as needed. o Prepare and maintain design schedule. o Conduct site investigations as needed to produce accurate design documents. o Prepare and maintain design scope, budget, quality, and provide a monthly project status report. o Prepare utility notification letters and/or applicable documents to utilities and agencies as needed to begin utility relocations and/or Civil work. o Take the lead on utility relocations including preparing and submitting necessary documents to different agencies. o Preparation of Utility Communication Log to be completed and updated with every submittal, or upon request of City Project Management Team. o Perform and provide topographic survey. o Prepare and provide pothole exhibit based on utility research and engineers' recommendation showing potential utility conflicts, if necessary. o Provide geotechnical testing and report as required. o Provide recommendation of pavement treatment based on geotechnical study (i.e., Full Depth Reclamation (Cement Treatment), grind and overlay, Cold in-place recycling, and innovative pavement methods). o Prepare construction plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates at each phase of work (Design Development and Construction Documents) to meet City of Ceres Standards and Specifications. o Submit construction documents for review to City offices, utilities/agencies, and obtaining final signatures on construction documents. o As part of the bidding phase, attend the pre-bid conference and prepare addenda and clarifications if necessary. o As part of the construction phase and general construction contract administration, attend the pre-construction conference, review shop drawings, and other contractor submittals, provide clarification of construction documents during construction, review and provide technical information for construction contract change order requests if necessary, and perform site visits during construction. o Prepare record drawings documenting the as-built improvements, have as-built approved, and both Mylars and final CAD drawing provided to the City. If changes in the work seem merited by Consultant or the City, and informal consultations with the other party indicate that a change is warranted, it shall be processed in the following manner: a letter outlining the changes shall be forwarded to the City by Consultant with a statement of estimated changes in fee. An amendment to this Agreement shall be prepared by the City and executed by both Parties before performance of such services, or the City will not be required to pay for the changes in the scope of work. Such amendment shall not render ineffective or invalidate unaffected portions of this Agreement. Phone calls will NOT be accepted. The selected Consultant will be required to provide a detailed cost proposal. The Contract payment method shall be TIME AND MATERIALS not to exceed the final contract amount. Detailed statements shall be rendered monthly and will be payable in the normal course of City business. The anticipated Contract duration for this project is August 2024, through December, 2026. Commercial General Liability $2,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate for bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage Automobile Liability $2,000,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage Employer's Liability $2,000,000 per occurrence Professional Liability $2,000,000 per claim and aggregate (errors and omissions) This solicitation for SOQ's does not commit the City of Ceres to enter into a contract or to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the SOQ. The City of Ceres reserves the right to accept or reject any SOQs, and to negotiate with any qualified consultant, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this solicitation for SOQ's. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
