The bid(s) may be awarded to more than one vendor. Weld County is requesting the installation of fiber optics conduit and cabling at the Weld County Public Works campus. The project includes providing 2" conduit, pull string, locate wire, and 24 strands Corning single mode fiber from the main Public Works facility to a total of 6 outbuildings. All pathways are to be verified and provided by the contractor. The built out of a Cubix wall mounted enclosure and fiber patch panels are a requirement. Additional vaults, building penetrations and all other outside plant fiber work and materials are to be included. Permits or other like documentations should be reviewed and included if necessary. Any ladder rack or associated materials as required should be included. Specific details will be provided during the mandatory walk-through. The project is considered an all-inclusive cabling turnkey solution. Building electrical diagrams will be provided at the mandatory walk-through. Two (2) additional Tripp Lite metered horizontal PDU's model PDUMH15-ISO are to be supplied, but not to be installed. Weld County may be escorting as required for the cable installation. No removal and demolition of the existing cabling is required. Contractors are to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and material as necessary for the copper, fiber, data closet and all other components of the installation project. The project is to include the installation of specified cabling per the identified materials in the specification sheet. The installation will use industry standards in addition to requirements listed in this bid. Access into county facilities will be granted via escort and facility sign in will be required. All cabling test results, and as-built engineering documents are to be provided in both physical hard copy and electronically 30 days from project completion. There shall be a warranty for all materials and labor for a period of not less than one full year after the work has been accepted by the County. This in no way limits or reduces the warranty offered by any manufacturer of material or equipment used in maintenance or repairs. All dry wall and drop ceiling penetrations are to be conducted by the contractor. Core drills if required will be performed by Weld County. Surface mounts will be provided and cabling in surface mounts will be pulled, terminated and tested by the contractor. J boxes, Arlington loops, and additional associated materials are to be installed by the contractor. Jack termination labelling per Weld County requirements are to be completed and test results provided prior to signoff. All modular RJ's to fully populate a patch panel must be supplied, meaning if a jack is not punched down, the patch panel should not be left empty, and a RJ should be placed in all slots. Fiber Installation Requirements: o 24 Strand Single Mode fiber cable as specified is required. o All fiber optics strands are to be terminated into the Data Closets utilizing the fiber enclosures, bulkheads and LC connectors specified. This is a turnkey solution. All necessary materials and labor will be provided by the contractor company. o Install, splice, terminate, and test Single Mode Coring fiber on both ends of each fiber run as specified. o As-builds, in both hard and soft copy, to be provided 30 days after completion. o Fiber test results, in both hard and soft copy, to be provided 30 days after completion. o All equipment used for testing must be certified and calibrated within the previous 365 days. o In order to maintain the optical fiber's performance, the following installation practices shall be followed: o All fiber must be Corning Fiber and all terminations will be LC connections. o Do not exceed the recommended pulling tension. o Do not exceed the recommended minimum bend radius. o A slack loop of 25' shall be left in each Data Closet. o Any parts, components, subassemblies, or materials not specified, but necessary for a complete and functioning system, must be furnished as part of the finished product. No additional allowances will be made for items omitted from the specifications. o Provide One (1) Cubix enclosure and associated cable management and ladder rack as specified per data closet for a total of 14 racks. o Vertical cable management - Not required o Provide ladder rack and associated equipment. o Provide appropriate and required equipment for cable bend radius when water falling into the rack. o Provide fire caulking in all required locations. o Provide appropriate support. Weld County's requested start and full completion dates of the project are as specified; Start: August 1, 2024, Completion: September 30, 2024.
