Scope of work is as indicated on drawings and specifications. In general, the scope includes: 1. Demolition of existing natural gas boiler and all associated flues, valves, controls, and accessories in the Old Main building located on SVCs Whidbey Island Campus. 2. Contractor is responsible for providing temporary heat to the building during all construction activities. 3. Demolition of 44 existing radiant heaters, valves, and mounting accessories. 4. Select abatement of hazardous materials associated with removal of existing boiler, radiant heaters, and accessories. 5. Installation of two (2) new electric boilers and all associated flues, valves, controls, and accessories. 6. New circulation pumps, air separator, expansion tank, and bypass filtration systems. 7. Installation of new floor and wall mounted convector units, control valves, and modifications to existing hydronic piping to remain. 8. Patching and repair of existing interior finishes impacted by the work. 9. Roof repairs and infill of CMU wall at demolished mechanical items in the boiler building. 10. Electrical modifications for new boilers including electrical feeders and conduits. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
