Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fulton, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; road / highway; and road / highway.
The work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: removal of existing bituminous driveway, removal of existing aggregate surface and base, proposed 4" aggregate base, proposed 7" PCC pavement w/fiber mesh, proposed 4" PCC sidewalk, earth embankment, grading, topsoil and seeding. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Fulton Emergency Medical Association, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires CONTRACTORS and SUBCONTRACTORS to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. All CONTRACTORS and SUBCONTRACTORS rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record-keeping duties. The Fulton Emergency Medical Association reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
