Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; and transportation facility.

The Work generally consists of parking lot and roadway pavement maintenance including, PCC and HMA patching, cleaning and filling PCC pavement joints and PCC and HMA cracks, emulsified asphalt slurry seal, waterborne and thermoplastic pavement markings and traffic control at the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Bid security in the amount of Five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. Bid security and other bonds shall be provided on forms furnished by the Owner. The bidder should not include sales tax in the bid. Items included in the Project are exempt from State of Iowa and Local Option Sales and Use Taxes. Contractor is responsible for obtaining the exemption or for applying for reimbursement for such taxes paid. The successful bidder will be required to submit a Certification of Non-segregated Facilities and to notify prospective subcontractors of the requirement for such certification where the subcontract exceeds $10,000.00 The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission anticipates the Notice-to-Proceed to be issued no earlier than following approval of properly executed contract documents, and has established a contract performance time of: Rental Car Ready Lot: o Early Start Date: July 22, 2024 o Late Start Date: May 12, 2025 o Complete within 45 Calendar Days Rental Car Facility Lot: o Late Start Date: May 27, 2025 o Complete within 30 Calendar Days Short Term and Long Term Parking Lot: o Late Start Date: May 12, 2025 o Complete within 35 Calendar Days Corporate Hangars Parking Lot: o Complete by August 9, 2024 or complete between May 12, 2025 and June 30, 2025 o Complete within 21 Calendar Days Final Completion: 45 Calendar Days following Substantial Completion date The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, with or without cause; to waive any informalities and technicalities; to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the Cedar Rapids Airport Commission; and to re-advertise.
