Renovation of a transportation facility in Freedom, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The project consists of performing the following, including, but not limited to: Construct a new wash rack facility including all necessary utilities and a 55' x 55' Portland cement concrete slab. Perform all work and furnish all materials incidental to the above and in accordance with the prepared plans, specifications, and special provisions and/or as directed by the City of Watsonville or its authorized representative. The Engineer's estimate is Three hundred twenty thousand dollars ($320,000). Bidders are to be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the "Contractors License Law," Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the State Business and Professions Code. In addition, bidder must have at the time the contract is awarded for this project, one of the following classification(s) of contractor's license: A. In accordance with Senate Bill 854 (SB 854), all contractors submitting a bid for this project must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). In addition, awarded Contractor must post jobsite notices prescribed by regulations. The plans and specifications are on file at the Public Works/Utilities Department, City Hall, 250 Main Street, Watsonville, California 95076. The contract will be awarded on the basis of UNIT BID price and will provide for progressive payments and liquidated damages as fixed in the specifications. All proposals must be made on the forms as contained in the specifications for the previously described project and shall in all respects comply with the Notice Inviting Sealed Bids and Contract Documents. Bids must be in writing and signed by or on behalf of the bidder. The award of this project is contingent upon a grant offer from the Federal Aviation Administration and acceptance of the grant offer by the City of Watsonville. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the contract price to secure fulfillment of all the bidder's obligations under such contract. The successful bidder will further be required to furnish a Payment Bond for 100 percent of the contract price to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Each bidder must supply all the information required by the bid documents and specifications. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids received as the public good may require.
