Scope of Work: Demolition of existing Firehouse and construction of a new building on the same site. Building is one-story with a partial Storage Mezzanine; Masonry/Steel structure with wood roof trusses. Operational functions including Engine Bays, Gear Room and other Utility spaces, Administrative Offices, Meeting Training Room with Commercial Kitchen, Bunk Rooms, Ready Room and Locker/Shower Rooms. Single contract for the construction of the New Williamstown Firehouse located at 555 S Main Street, Williamstown, New Jersey 08094. Bidders shall file bid security of 10% of base bid, not to exceed $20,000 as detailed in the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders contained in the Contract Documents. The Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127. Bidders must demonstrate participation in a Project Labor Agreement or Memorandum of Understanding for this Project. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, each bidder shall submit with its bid, an Ownership Disclosure Statement. **Document Notes :Additional sets may be purchased at the rate of Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350.00) per additional set. Bid forms, contract forms, drawings, project manual/specifications are on file and may be examined at the offices of the Township Clerk and the Architect. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids with the exception of bids withdrawn pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in any bid or bids, to reject any or all bids, and to accept such bid or bids and to make such awards as may be in the Owner's best interest and in accordance with the law.
