Renovation of a water / sewer project in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Remediation of Cinderblock Lighthouse Facility at Cape d'Or, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. The Cinderblock Building that is part of the lighthouse, was until recently, used as the electrical room for the light and the generator. The light now operates with a solar system. In the future, the building is intended to be used for storage of equipment and materials for maintenance of the facility. Necessary work should include: Exterior of Cinderblock Building. - Remove existing flat roof structure. - Replace flat roof structure using at least 2' by 12" rafters and low slope roofing. - Remove existing siding from block wall. - Inspect block wall for repairs and include an allowance for such repairs. - Install strapping and new siding, preferably something such as the foundry staggered shakes supplied by Mitten. - New double steel door to replace existing passageway. Interior of Building - Ensure all existing ceiling materials are removed. - Removal of all wall finishes. - Removal of all decommissioned electrical - Install plywood ceiling on new roof system. - Prime and paint complete interior of structure.
