Project Description: The Project involves the replacement of various water main pipelines throughout the City of San Bernardino. The existing cast iron water main pipes will be replaced with new ductile iron pipes. The replacement pipes will be substantially the same size and alignment as the existing pipes within the public rights-of-way. SBMWD has identified the need to replace aging and undersized water main in the Intermediate Pressure Zone. The Scope of Services includes but is not limited to: furnish all material, labor, and equipment to replace existing water mains, install approximately 1,167 linear feet of 8" diameter and approximately 30 linear feet of 6" diameter cement mortar lined ductile iron pipe along with other associated work as shown in the project plans and specifications for Specification No. 1738. Each Bidder shall show that he/she has completed the construction of three (3) similar projects of similar size and complexity within the last five (5) years for a similar size and type of agency. Minority and disadvantaged businesses are strongly encouraged to submit bids for this project as a prime contractor.
