To receive consideration, such questions must be received by end of business. Scope: A. Remove existing layer of fiberglass / asphalt shingles and dispose of in accordance with local standards. B. The two portions of the roof circled in Appendix B is to receive all new decking of nominal thickness of 1/2 or better. Underlayment materials are required to comply with ASTM D 226, D 1970, D 4869 and D 6757 shall bear a label indicating compliance to the standard designation and, if applicable, type classification indicated in Table R905.1.1(1). The Town of Simsbury Department of Public Works Truck Wash building roof is in need of replacement, including a portion of the plywood that has begun to visually rot. The DPW is looking for a qualified contractor to replace the roof and repair structural damage. The scope of work for this project includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment required to complete the project as specified. Qualified bidders must be a GAF Master Elite installer, Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Contractor, or equivalent and be able to warranty the labor and product installed for a 20 year or better commercial application with preference given to the longer warranty period. All work is to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices. Any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only upon written orders. Worksite is to be kept tidy and clean. The Town reserves the right to accept any bid or any part of bids, to reject any, all, or any part of bids, and to waive formalities and informalities in the bidding process. The Town at its discretion will award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder.
