The Love Project food pantry at the Fern Ridge Service Center located at 25035 W. Broadway in Veneta won additional state grant funding for the construction of a sidewalk cover. The Project will help keep volunteers dry while working with food bank clients at the drive-up desk. The Project requires some stormwater connections. This project is for a public work subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 relating to the payment of prevailing wages. Oregon's prevailing wage rates, as set forth in the January 5, 2024 Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Projects in Oregon, including any amendments are located and are incorporated by reference into this packet. Contractors must pay the higher of Oregon prevailing wage rate or the wage rate from the applicable federal Davis-Bacon wage decision. Award and Contract: If awarded, City will award the contract to the prospective contractor whose quote, experience, availability, Project understanding, contractor capacity, and familiarity with local jurisdictions will best serve the interests of City. Responsive quotes must also include current federal registration information and Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number for the System for Award Management (SAM) allowing contractors to work on this federally funded Project. Rights Reserved - City reserves the right to:
A. Reject any Quote not in compliance with all prescribed public contracting procedures and requirements and other applicable laws.
B. Reject any and all Contractors quotes or terminate the RFQ upon the District finding that it is in the public interest to do so.
C. Reject any Contractor or Quote not meeting or differing from the specifications set forth herein.
D. Waive any and all minor irregularities or informality in the Contractor submitted when, in the opinion of City, it is in its best interest to do so.
E. Consider the competency and responsibility of Contractors in making any awards.
F. Reject a selected Contractor if within a reasonable time determined solely at the discretion of the City, Contractor has not executed the project contract.
G. Hold the three Quotes determined best by the City under consideration until the final award is made, provided that the City shall award the contract within 90 days after the Quote opening date.
H. Extend the deadline for submitting Quotes.
I. Seek other quotes, if deemed in the public interest.
