The Memphis Housing Authority (MHA) is soliciting Firm Fixed Price bids from highly qualified contractors to provide construction services required for modifications to the heating, ventilating and air conditioning system, removal of existing windows and installation of new windows, new lighting and related work for the Memphis Housing Authority Central Office. Question Deadline 07/23/2024 at 4:00 PM CT Central Standard time no later than July 23, 2024. Questions may be sent via email to Moshe Cole at the Memphis Housing Authority at 700 Adams Avenue, Room 107, Memphis, TN 38105. Oral explanations or instructions will not be binding. Responses to inquiries will be made in the form of written addenda on, or before June 26, 2024. A bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Memphis Housing Authority, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties shall be submitted with each bid. The bid guarantee shall be in an amount equal to but not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Bid Bonds must be obtained from a company which appears on the latest edition of The Federal List of Approved Surety. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity. Payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project. All bids electronically submitted are sealed and stored in a digitally secured time vault and are not accessible by any party until the close of bidding. No bidder, owner, representative, or third party will have access to your confidential bid information at any point during the bidding phase. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory performance and payment bond in the full amount of the contract. Replacement of Obsolete Hvac Components; Inspection and Replacement of Defective Air Distribution Systems; Achievement of Comfortable Space Temperature Without Use of Window Units And Individual Resistance Heaters. 3. Upgrades for Lighting Fixtures to Energy Efficient Leds Type. 4. Installation of Energy Management Systems for Control of Cooling and Heating Equipment and Lighting Fixtures. 5. Replacement of Lay-in Ceiling. 6. Asbestos Remediation as Necessary for Replacement of Building Components And Materials. 7. Related Demolition
