Greenridge CCC Storage Building Replacement This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc. necessary to repair the damaged roof structure, and replace the existing shingled roof at Green Ridge State Forest 27905 National Pike NE, Flintstone ,21530, Alleghany County, Maryland. SCOPE This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc. necessary to repair the damaged roof structure, and replace the existing shingled roof at Green Ridge State Forest 27905 National Pike NE, Flintstone,21530, Alleghany County, Maryland. All questions shall be submitted by June 19, 2024, by 2:00 p.m. to allow time for the Project Manager to respond to the questions. COMPLETION TIME AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: The Contractor agrees that the price will be firm for a time period of ninety (90) calendar days from the bid opening date to execution of the contract by the State. The work shall be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $350.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions". This project consists ofthe Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc. necessary to repair the damaged roofstructure, and replace the existing shingled roof at Green Ridge State Forest 27905 National Pike NE, Flintstone ,21530, Alleghany County, Maryland. 2. The proposed project shall include but is not limited to the following: a. Removal of all damaged roof area, (approximately 180 S.F.) and (approximately 180S.F.) offlooring / floorjoists supports, floorjoists, damaged gable end, and existing gutter and hangers on south side of building. b. Install two (2) concrete post support footings and support posts. c. Removal of approximately 2,300 S.F. of existing roofshingles and felt underlayment and (3) layers of existing roofsheathing (approximately 2120 S.F.) down to the existing roofrafters. d. Remove and replace approximately eight (8) damaged rafters (2"x8"xl8') under Unit Price #1. e. Install approximately sixty-four (64) sister rafters (2"x8"xl8') to existing rafters under Unit Price #2. f. Removed and replaced approximately eighty (80) LF gable rake boards (2"x8") under Unit Price #3. g. Install approximately 130 LF. fascia boards (2"x8") on the sidewalls on the east and west overhangs. h. Install approximately 2,300 SF ofroofsheathing over entire roof, cover with underlayment, install drip edge, shingle, approximately 64 L.F. of cap shingles and seal where necessary. i. Remove, salvage, relay, reflash and install an approximate 20"x 20" x 2" sandstone cap at the flue where it exits the roof. Remove the double flood light on the south side. j. Remove and salvage one (1) wood entrance door and two (2) windows in gable end, repair missing glass and reglaze, rebuild, or replace (1) window that is damaged, and steps leading up to the second floor, all will be re-installed. k. Remove West Gable end wall, approximately (500 S.F.) down to the existing concrete wall. Replace west CMU wall, approximately (30 L.F.) and install new anchor bolts, sill plate framing and board siding. 1. Install 500 SF of board siding and stain new board siding to match existing as close as possible. m. Install approximately 130 LF of 6" gutter and gutter guard with proper gutter hangers, and 3"x 4" down spouts with all necessary required accessories on both sides of building. The front will have (2) downspouts, and the rear will have (2) downspouts. n. Install Rain Leaders and French Drains on the west and north sides ofthe building, run in the same ditch. The west approximately thirty (30) LF from the southwest comer underground to be connected at the northwest comer and will run approximately eighty (80) LF to the northeast comer, sloped underground, and daylighted at the bank. Slope bank back on west side, re-install rock retaining wall and install topsoil, seed and mulch. o. Proper removal and disposal of all debris generated from this project with site clean-up to return to a pre-construction condition.
