Renovation of a water / sewer project in Portland, Oregon. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project will replace the Motor Control Centers (MCCs), transformers, service disconnects, and provide overall electrical safety and security improvements at Well 13 and Well 19 sites. The equipment at these wells are at the end of their useful life and many replacement parts are no longer available, putting the wells at risk of being out of service. Well 13 and 19 are the highest capacity wells, supplying around 20% of the groundwater supply, and the loss of these wells would significantly reduce the viability of the CSSWF as PWB's back-up water supply. In FY 2023-24 the project will start design. The project is include in the city's 2022-2025 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of November 18, 2024, construction is expected to begin in 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
