Bidders eligible to submit Bids for this Request for Tenders have been previously selected through the process of a Request for Prequalifications, issued under Contract C14-04-24 which closed on July 05, 2024. A brief summary of the Work involved in this Contract is for replacement of Bridge 451, Dundas Street over Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited (CPKC) Railway tracks and Grindstone Creek, the supply and installation of sewer, forcemain, watermains, water valves, roadway, curb and sidewalk reconstruction. The Work includes, but is not limited to the following: - Removal of asphalt pavement and waterproofing system from bridge deck surface and approach roads - Demolition and removal of parapet walls, bridge superstructure, substructure and part abutment foundation removal - Patch repair existing superstructure and substructure elements - Replacement of Bridge 451 including approach slab and sleeper slab, expansion joint at sleeper slab, parapet walls, sidewalk and multi-use pathway - 1626 square metres of road reconstruction - 307 square metres of road resurfacing - 93 linear metres of 300mm diameter watermain - 107 linear metres of sanitary sewer replacement - 57 linear metres of 500mm diameter sanitary forcemain (trenched) - 54 linear metres of 500mm diameter sanitary forcemain (under bridge) - 258 linear metres of curb reconstruction - 371 square metres of concrete sidewalk and approaches - Construction of Street Lighting and associated Works: - 2 lighting poles/luminaires - 14 metres of direct buried conduit installation - 46 metres of directional bored conduit installation - 14 metres of surface conduit installation - 103 metres of cable installations (in duct) - 260 metres of embedded Work in parapet walls - Pavement markings The value of this Project is estimated to be between $8,000.000.00 and $12,000,000.00.
