SBCS is requesting Bids from Offerors to provide the most practical, time effective and cost-efficient solution for the HVAC Controls Upgrade at Post Oak Middle School as described in this Invitation For Bids. The description of services shall establish minimum requirements and expectations. Spotsylvania County Public Schools will not be bound by verbal responses to questions. Either a cashier's or certified check must accompany bids or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, made payable to School Board of the County of Spotsylvania. No bid can be withdrawn after the time set for the receipt of bids and for ninety days thereafter except as provided under Chapter 7, Section 2.2-4330, of the Code of Virginia, as follows: The bidder shall give notice in writing of his claim or right to withdraw his bid within two business days after the conclusion of the bid opening procedure and shall submit original work papers with such notice. The notice and the original working papers shall be given to the Owner, to the attention of Jamie C. Pitts, VCO/VCARM, Supervisor of Procurement, 8020 River Stone Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22407, within such period. Bidder agrees that they shall provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price if awarded a contract as a result of this bid. Contract Term will be from the date of Notice to Proceed through October 31, 2025. This is a grant funded project and shall be governed by all Federal laws and policies that apply. Spotsylvania County Public Schools intends to award to one Contractor but expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received, and to award a bid to be in the best interests of Spotsylvania County Public Schools.
