Aransas County, TX, is seeking Proposals for the Sheriff's Office Radio Tower Equipment and Installation Project Funding Provided by Texas CDBG-MIT Regional Mitigation Program's Method of Distribution Development (CDBGMIT-MOD) Program(s)Funded and Administered through the Texas General Land Office (GLO). All questions and answers will be distributed to prospective Vendors by email and/or by posting on the County's on the Aransas County Public Notices Page by 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 20,2024. No submission may be withdrawn for at least Sixty (60) days after the scheduled opening. Aransas County reserves the right to change the date of the opening, to waive any informalities, and to accept the submission deemed most advantageous for Aransas County. Aransas County is looking to add a third simulcast site to our two existing sites in our network. The third site is located at the intersection of FM 188 and State Highway 35. The towers exist at all three site with equipment rooms and backup power already in place. The proposal will be to provide connectivity to the county existing K-Core and prime site via microwave. The solution is to include three Conventional base stations with combining equipment, antennae assemblies and microwave equipment. County currently operates on VHF but also has 800 capability as backup. Both will be operational at all three sites. The proposal is to include necessary hardware, software, and services to implement and integrate the new site into the existing simulcastsystem. The equipment will reside on racks at two locations, one at the new site and at the existing Sheriff's Office site location(s). All work will be built to R56 standards, included in this proposal should be: o Three Base Stations o Combining Antennae and equipment o Microwave Dishes and accompanying radios o Routers, switches and Timing equipment ( clock ) o UPS for equipment
